I received a phone call from Cornell Johnson today. The result was expected to come on 17th. I had heard that they would start giving the good news from 16th itself. When I saw the 607 area code in my mobile phone, the news was clear :-)
So, finally I am in for an MBA in the USA. Let's see where I end up attending the classes. Johnson offers a good program in my intended area and it was clearly not a backup school. Infact I would love to study in any of the schools I have applied to!
No news from HBS yet, hope they come calling soon...

OMG, that's the best news among applicants' blogs I read this week :) Huge congratulations :) I cannot imagine how you feel at the moment :) Now you are immune to any events in other schools.

Congrats dude! I applied for Round 1 at Cornell as well. However, I retook GMAT and had my interview this past monday. I was told that the AdCom will contact me within 72 hours. I was hoping to hear from Cornell on Wednesday (day before thanksgiving). I am too anxious and waiting to receive that phone call(hopefully). In the meantime, could you please provide your profile so that it might give me a little bit of confidence (may be not). I checked in Businessweek.com, Cornell admits about 65% of the interviewed candidates. Also, did you hear anything about financial aid? I would greatly appreciate your reply.
